Dear (PATHWAI)

I am finally able to put these words in writing: All the surviving Lodestar dogs were euthanized under the guise of being "temperamentally unadoptable" by Mrs. Julie Rogers about this time last year. These were the very same animals tht Tami Key, under oath, swore would all be in new homes by the end of the week-----a year before they were killed by Mrs. Rogers.

These were the very same dogs none of the "rescuers" wanted: the old, the not-so-cute----the very special ones. They had survived another year in that hellhole of the former Polk County Humane Society. The case was still under appeal when this was done to them. But this is Mena, Arkansas.

I have consulted several attorneys. My only recourse is to file a complaint with the Arkansas Bar concerning the civil attorney. I am in the painful process of doing that now.

They broke every law of man and God, and they got away with it. I will be updating the Lodestar website as soon as I am able.

The "Humane Society of the Ouachitas" as they now call themselves is trying to regroup; but i have no intention of letting this town forget what was done here to those animals. The one method I have available consists of paid notices in the local paper, listing every animal they took, a quotation about justice, etc., and Lodestar's contact information.

Most people have no valid concept of what was done to the animals; but they do live in Mena, and they are acutely aware of its history. This has been a psychologically devastating period in my life. These self-servers followed the blueprint of an "Animal Rights Attack" as described by Brian O'Connor in his excellent blog, "Animal Crackers."

When will people understand what "animal RIGHTS" is truly all about?

Sincerely,

Victoria M. Andrews
